0001-Gun Safety (NRA)- Eddie Eagle Program. This is a basic safety class that is for family members up to 3rd grade that have guns in the home. Parents are better acquainted with the safe handling of a firearm while their children learn through fun activities to avoid firearms and tell an adult. This class is appropriate for young members of the family (k-3+). There is no firearm handling in this class. *No Guns Allowed* *No Ammunition in the classroom* (2008 early bird rate $10* per child/parent team)
0002-First Steps - Handgun. (currently not offered separately, included in 0003 course) This is a class specifically for new gun owners that want to become familiar with their new gun and learn how to handle it safely, shoot it accurately, and clean and care for your new investment. This is a basic class and does not include intensive shooting drills. This is a limited participant class. (2008 early bird rate $10*)
0003-Basic Handgun Safety - This course is required for Venture Scouts to participate in Venture Handgun Activities. Click for BSA Requirements This course includes brief range exercises and student demonstration of skills. There is no written test nor is there an official certification. This is essentially Day 1 of the 2-Day Basic Handgun class. Venture Scouts will receive a Training Completion Certificate as proof of attendance. *Firearms provided, you may bring your own provided they are unloaded, locked in a carying case, and you are legal to transport the firearm. Ammunition fee varies (see schedule)*No Ammunition in the classroom* (2008 early bird rate $10*)
0004-Basic Pistol Shooting (NRA) - Two-day NRA Basic Pistol class. This class will take place over two 6-hour days (approx 10 hours of instruction). It includes range time and student shooting exercises. Written test is administered at the conclusion of the course for NRA certification. * You must bring your personal handgun and a minimum of 50 rounds.*No Ammunition in the classroom* (2008 early bird rate $25*)
0005-Personal Protection in the Home (NRA) - Two-day NRA Self Defense in the Home course. This class will take place over two 8-10 hour days. It includes range time and student shooting exercises. This course goes beyond the Basic Handgun coures in scope and material. Written test is administered at the conclusion of the course for NRA certification. *You must bring your personal handgun and a minimum of 100 rounds. *No Ammunition in the classroom* (2008 early bird rate $100*)

Payments: All payments must be made in advance by check or paypal (add 4% transaction fee for Credit Cards). Ammunition fees must be paid in cash at check-in for your shooting portion of the exam. (Applies to all classes that require shooting but do not require your own weapon.)
* Listed rates may change at any time, advance payment does not secure base rate unless a class is scheduled. Non-scouter fees will be higher, additional cost is tax deductible. + Add $15 to fees for non-scouting participants (tax deductible) (2008 rate)
*Late registrants may not receive manuals in time for class. Absolutely no walk-on participants.
Required Materials: Notebook, pen/pencil, $5.00 for shooting exam.
Provided Materials: Workbook, Safety materials, Certificate for BSA use.
Registered participants will receive directions to the course location.

Regarding our Training Programs and Courses :
- Walk-on participants are not permitted in any of our courses, Pre-registration is required.
- The Scout Service Center does not collect any payments for our training programs. All payments must be made by mail to 588 Colonial Cup ST., Henderson, NV 89015 or via Pay Pal to darrenhinze@ gmail.com. (please add 5% for pay pal payments)
- No ammunition is permitted in the classrooms at any time by anyone.
- Ammunition fees are required to be paid in cash upon your arrival to the course. These fees defray the expense of ammunition thereby releiving you of the burdon of bringing ammunition with you for loaner guns.
- Ammunition and firearm caliber must meet requiremetns set by the sponsoring club. Please see the club requirements regarding ammunition.
- Late registration will be as much as 400% of the course fees. We encourage you to pay early.
- All courses require materials to be purchased by us. There are no refunds. You may substitute another student in your place.
- Any available proceeds from registration fees will go to two funds, Crew General Fund, and BRPC Crew Donations.
- Merit Badge Programs will require a parent/legal guardian or a registered scout leader from the youth's unit to be present for the duration of the course.
- For Merit Badges- Scouts must bring a completed (including signed by your Scout Master) Blue Card. If you don't have one, call ahead to let us know you are unprepared and will not be attending. (we will send you home if you are unprepared)
- All persons must sign a BRPC release for all activities that occur on site.
- No horseplay, the Range Safety Officer, Range Master, Chief Instructor, and acting range Chief Safety Officer can at any time instruct a person to leave the course and the premisses (no refund will be provided). In short, I wont take any crap and neither will my associates, we have no problem telling you to leave (without a refund) if you do not follow the rules and behave in a safe manner.
